LIKE CENTRAL EXCISE IN INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT ALSO ZONAL SENIORITY  LIST IS BEING PREPARED  IN THE CADRE OF  INSPECTOR TO AWARD PROMOTION TO THE NEXT HIGHER POSTS. THIS PROVISION HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY APEX COURT IN PARMER CASE. NOW CBEC WANTS TO IMPLEMENT THE DECISION OF  PARMER CASE ON ZONAL BASIS IN FIXATION OF SENIORITY IN THE CADRE OF INSPECTOR OF CENTRAL EXCISE.
