A meeting was held yesterday on 09.07.13 in the evening with the Cabinet Secretary through Sh. Vijay Inder Singla, the Hon'ble MP with the help of our Chandigarh Unit. Everything regarding the cadre restructuring and our acute stagnation was submitted to him. He was requested to hold the CRC meeting at the earliest particularly keeping in view the monthly large scale retirements of our officers without further promotion. He assured us to do the needful. The written submissions made to him has already been posted in CENGO INDIA blogpost.A lot of thanks to Sh. Singla and Sh. A. K. Sharma alongwith Sh. Boota Singh. DOPT was also visited on 04.07.13.
Someone has informed that the meeting of Committee of Secretaries under the chairmanship of Cabiet Secretary relating to approval of Cadre Restructuring of CBEC was just completed and
the minutes of such meeting would be reverted back to CBEC on 10.07.2013. But
we are sorry to inform you that the present DOPT Secretary was previously Additional
Secretary of DOPT , and he was instrumental in making cut from the orginal proposal.
He (along with a note for approval of the proposal cleared by DOPT previously) went to
Cabinet Secretary and pleaded for approval. But Cabinet Secretary wanted
opinion from Revenue Secretary ,who is at present on leave. Hence CR file is
still with Cabinet Secretary. Mean while we met Cabinet Secretary along with Sh. Vijay Inder
Singla, the Hon'ble MP and pleaded for approvlaof CR as recommended by FM. Some how Cabinet
Secretary is convinced.
