Government of India has announced the constitution of 7th Central Pay
Commission on 24.09.2013. AIACEGEO has been raising this demand before the Government right from 2012
onwards.
While welcoming the decision of the Government, we are disappointed to
note that our demands for removal of pay anomalies since 1986 by not awarding appropriate pay scale/ grade pay to the cadre of Superintendent of Central Excise at par with DySP/CBI w.e.f 01.01.1986 and
merger of 50% DA have not been considered favourably by the Government. Further when
the public sector employees are given five years wage revision and the
erosion in real wages has reached an all time high due to steep price
rise, grant of five year wage revision to Central Government employees
is fully justified. Similarly every time the Government appointed pay
commission merger of DA was also granted. This time Government has not
acceded the demand for merger of DA with pay now. Thus by appointing pay
commission our members will not be getting any financial benefit now. AIACEGEO urge upon the Government to
consider the above demands of our Association also favourably failing which AIACEGEO shall be constrained to opt for agitational
programmes.
