Madam,
Your kind attention is
invited to the presentation made on 18.01.11 by CBEC on the cadre
restructuring. The points presented by the CBEC alongwith their replies are
mentioned as below-
(i) All the vacancies arising due to cadre
restructuring should be filled up by promotion only (Reply of the CBEC- Acceptable. CBEC proposes to
extend this benefit for more than one year).
(ii) Creation
of a separate service for promotion of Group ‘B’ Executive Officers (Reply
of the CBEC- Under
consideration independent of cadre restructuring).
(iii) Promotion of Group ‘B’ Gazetted
Executive Officers directly to STS (Reply of the CBEC- Under formulation independent of cadre restructuring).
(iv) All
direct recruit Inspectors CE, Preventive Officers and Examiners of one particular
year should be brought at the same level of promotion (Reply of the
CBEC- Under examination in the Board separately).
2. As
mentioned above, the CBEC replied against point 1 to 4 respectively as (i) acceptable for more than
one year, (ii) under consideration independent of cadre restructuring, (iii) under
formulation independent of cadre restructuring and (iv) separately under examination in the Board.
3. A period of
more than 3 years and 3 months has already expired for above mentioned
acceptance/consideration/formulation/ examination. It is requested that the
information regarding all of the above points may kindly be provided
specifically mentioning the-
(a) current status of the replies of the CBEC,
(b) file number in which being dealt with,
(c) date of initiation of dealing and
(d) minimum time required for finalization of
acceptance/consideration/formulation/examination.
