Hyundai Motor India has started a scheme to give central and state government employees a discount on purchase of its vehicles.
Under the scheme, named 'Pride of India', government employees will be entitled to a benefit of up to Rs. 30,000 depending on the model purchased, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a statement.

"We want more beneficiaries to avail the scheme and become a part of Hyundai family," said Rakesh Srivastava, senior vice president-sales and marketing at the company.
"I am sure this initiative will help us to further strengthen our relations with Indian customers."
Hyundai, India's second-largest carmaker, will offer the special discount to employees of central and state governments, public sector companies and public sector lenders, the statement noted.
