Navratri, the celebration of nine nights begins September 25. It is a time for devotion and fasting and thanking the goddess for ridding this earth of evil.

The office bearers of AIACEGEO met the Chairperson , CBEC on 28.09.14 , and raised demands for immediate settlement of the following issues.
1. Immediate DPC should be conducted for the existing vacancies as well as posts created in CR-2013 for the posts of AC for the financial year 2013-14 and 1014-15.
2. Adhoc promotions should be granted by CBEC without consulting UPSC.
3. Removal of inter cadre and intra cadre disparity in promotions.
4. Regularisation of adhoc promotions pending since 1997 in revised ratio.
5. Framing of RRs with a provision of Common seniority list amongst all 3 feeder categories and not to consult UPSC on promotion to JTS posts.
6. Introduction of flexible promotional scheme on in situ basis and with a provision of batch wise upgradation at par with CSS service.
7. Downgrading of higher posts, which can not be filled up due to non availability of eligible officers.
