Legal funds

Dear friends,
namaste.
As you all know that Association is already fighting at least 5 cases in the various courts. These include as under-
i) Parity with intra-organisational counterparts.
ii) MACP.
iii) Ttime scale in PB3.
(All in Principal Bench of CAT in Delhi)
iv) Arrears of pay scale since 1986 to our Inspectors (all of them have now become Superintendents). v) Pay scale (GP of Rs. 5400/- in PB3) to Superintendents at par with the analogous counterparts of CBI (i.e., DSP of CBI) and arrears since 1986.
(Both cases in Cuttack Bench of CAT)
All of the above cases are at final hearing.
We may also have to file some more legal cases in the interest of the cadre including-
a) Becoming party/supporting the case of pay arrears filed by the then Inspectors Association in Jabalpur High Court for arrears of pay since 1986. The rejoinder is yet to be filed in this case.
b) Challenging the Allahabad CAT case in Allahabad High Court regarding share of group 'A' entry posts in r/o regularisation of ad hoc promotions. Allahabad CAT has given the verdict that Central Excise Superintendents have been given promotional posts more than the quota in comparison to Customs counterparts based on earlier ratio of 6:1:2.
c) Counting of service rendered on temporary posts of Asstt. Commissioner for further promotions.
d) Supporting the Inspectors Association against the SLP filed by the CBEC in the case of time scale to the Ist ACP upgradation holder Inspectors (all officers promoted to the post of Superintendent after January, 2002 will be benefited by this case).
e) etc.
No need to say that we require huge funds to fight legal cases in the time of today because of need of Senior Advocates in every case including CAT cases always charging hefty fees.
So friends, all officers are requested to be generous enough to help the Association with the funds as per convenience. If we are able to have even a meagre amount of Rs. 1000/- per officer as minimum contribution, it will be a great help to our cadre. However, willing officers may contribute even more. We'll be able to have more handsome amount, if we all are able to contribute minimum by Rs. 5000/- each with no bar for willing officers to contribute more.
Loving regards.
