against refusal of promotion.
Sir,
Your kind attention is invited to the para 17.12 of
the Guidelines on Departmental Promotion Committees issued vide DOPT OM No.
22011/5/86-Esstt. (D) Dt. 10.04 89. It is mentioned in the guidelines that the
next person in the select list may be promoted, if the refusal of promotion has
been accepted by the concerned authority (relevant portion is enclosed for your
kind reference).
2. As the Association came to know, it is submitted
with due regards that around 200 officers refused promotion for the post of
Asstt. Commissioner after the last DPC. But no promotion orders for the next officers
available in the select list have been issued till date as per the guidelines
in lieu of the number of officers refusing the promotion.
3.
In view of above, it is requested to kindly look into the matter to get the promotion
orders issued for the next officers available
in the select list at an early date.
