Implementation of the order of the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal,
Allahabad in OA No. 413/2024
regarding retrospective implementation of the pay scale revision.

Kindly
find enclosed herewith the copy of the order Dt. 22.10.2024 delivered by the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Allahabad in OA No. 413/2024
regarding the implementation of the pay scale revision w.e.f. 01.01.96.
2. It is submitted with due regards
that the Hon’ble Tribunal has quashed the orders dated 23.08.2023 and 21.04.2004. It has further been directed to
grant the revised pay scales for Inspectors and Superintendents of Central Excise
with effect from 01.01.1996 alongwith all consequential benefits, including
payment of arrears of salary and other emoluments from that date with
applicable interest within a period of three months from the date of the above
order.
3. It is also worth to mention that
such orders are always of in-rem nature applicable to all equally placed
persons. Various Hon’ble courts including the Hon’ble Supreme Court have
already passed the orders giving directions to the Govt. to this effect.
4. In view of above, it is requested
to implement the order of the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal,
Allahabad at an early date within the stipulated period giving benefit to all
equally placed persons as the orders
dated 23.08.2023 and 21.04.2004 of the Govt. have already been quashed by the Hon’ble Tribunal.
