All are requested to kindly furnish the following information to the AIB treating the same as THE MOST IMMEDIATE- i) Names of the Inspectors of Income Tax who have recently become Commissioner or Addl. Commissioner. ii) Names of the Inspectors of Income Tax who are to become Commissioner or Addl. Commissioner in the near future. 2. The AIB has been given the understanding that a few units are trying to go to the legal court through some of their officers on the issue of regional disparities. If it is true, the implementation of cadre restructuring may be affected adversely and our senior officers waiting for the promotion at the fag end of the career may not be promoted & keep retiring without IInd promotion. As far as the regional disparities are concerned, the same will automatically be removed if we are able to get parity with the common entry counterparts for which a case is already being pursued in the Principal Bench of CAT by the AIB. It is, therefore, requested to all to fight unitedly to get parity with the common entry counterparts instead of inciting infighting between us. Such infighting may only stall the implementation of the ensuing cadre restructuring. REMIT DUES. HELP AIACEGEO TO FUNCTION BETTER: As you are aware for effective functioning of a vibrant organisation like All India Association of Central Excise Gazetted Executive Officers, sound financial position is a must. At present the financial position of AIACEGEO is not at all satisfactory. It is regretted to note that most of  our Units, have not remitted their dues despite repeated requests from Secretary General . All Units  are therefore requested once again  to remit their dues at an early date. LOKANATH MISHRA. PRESIDENT. PRESENT POSITION OF CR OF CBEC. It is being learnt that the Cabinet Note forwarded by CBEC relating to approval of cadre restructuring proposals of CBEC  has been finally prepared/ approved  on 26.11.2013 by Cabinet Secretary.   But due to our ill luck Cabinet  Secretariate could not allot  time slot in a short time  for approval of CR of  CBEC  in the cabinet meeting  held on  28.11.2013 . The date  for next cabinet meeting is  fixed. to 03.12.2013. Since this is a special meeting  to discuss the draft bill on Telengana, there is no  chance for the approval of our CR on  03.12.2013.  It is expected that CR of CBEC may likely to be approved in the next cabinet meeting. DA for January 2014 is likely to be 100%. Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) October 2013 According to a press release issued by the Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment the All-India CPI-IW for October, 2013 rose by 3 points and pegged at 241 (two hundred and forty one). DA as on October 2013 is 97.32% ,with this DA for January 2014 is likely to be 100%.  Oct-13       CPI- 241          DA is    97.32         Nov-13       CPI-242           DA is   99.04         Dec-13       CPI-242           DA is  100.70   or Nov-13    CPI-  241      DA is 98.97 Dec-13    CPI-  241      DA is100.56 . Looking into the final stage of approval of CR of CBEC, the DGHRD has constituted following six (6) Committees for implementation of the Cadre Restructuring:- (i) Core Committee, (ii) Committee on conduct of DPC, (iii) Committee on Operational Issues, (iv) Committee on Recruitment Rules, (v) Committee on Technical Matters (vi) Committee on Infrastructure.
