1. Allahabad CAT order: CAT has ordered to give 58 posts of Asstt. Commissioner to the Appraisers from Central Excise quota. CAT has also observed that Customs Superintendents have also been given 125 posts of Asstt. Commissioner less. As per observations of CAT, Central Excise Superintendents have been given 125+58 posts in excess. The fact is that these posts have already been given to the Appraisers and Customs Superintendents. No need to say that we'll have to challenge this order of CAT in High Court but the senior advocate is asking initially Rs. 6 lac which include Ist hearing, filing of case by his junior etc. So friends, be serious to arrange the funds for legal battle.
2. GST: The state officers are demanding to have the units upto the turn over of Rs. 10 crore and it seems that govt may give them the units upto Rs. 1.5 crore. No need to say that our work will be decreased to one third, even if they are given the units upto Rs. 1.5 Crore. If they are given units upto Rs. 5 crore, our work will remain less than 20% and even less, if they are given the units upto Rs. 10 crore. And our career prospects & manpower requirement will always be in proportion of our work. So friends, be ready for the fight for survival & self respect.
