An interaction of MOS was held today on 30.06.16 with the officers of Delhi Zone. He skipped the issue of DPC and GST in a very tactical manner. The issues like creation of task force for tax administration, infrastructure including office as well as housing, training, knowledge management system, work from home, corruption etc. were interacted. A separate session was held on the issue of DPC after MOS left the place asking Member (P&V) to take up this issue. The Member (P&V) told that the issue is being consulted with DOPT and law particularly keeping in view the judgement of Delhi CAT. She said that this judgement doesn't allow reservation in promotion, so appeal may be filed. She was asked to expedite the things whatever they want to do as our officers are regularly retiring. She told that advice from DOPT is being taken on the issue. She was requested to get the advice using personal influence within days instead of routine manner, otherwise DOPT will not sent any advice and vacancies will be lapsed in 2018 without promoting even a single officer. She was apprised that 200 officers from our reserved category and 400 from our general category have already retired after October, 2014. She said that we may conduct DPC keeping some vacancies intact for reserved category officers. The issue was also discussed with the Chairman who told that he is in regular touch on personal level with the DOPT Secretary to resolve the issue.
