I am getting regular calls asking whether our officers would be able to get the Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/- (Level-11) as MACP upgradation on general implementation of the Subramanium case. It is to clarify that this case is related to the grant of time scale instead of MACP upgradation. On its general implementation, our officers joining as Inspector will get the time scale (Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- in PB2 or Level-9) on completion of 4 years of service after getting ACP upgradation or becoming Superintendent, whichever is earlier. No need to say that the time scale was introduced on 01.01.06.
