Cadre restructuring proposal of "big brothers"

Dear friends,
Namaste.
I went through the cadre restructuring proposal of IRS Association. It is really unfortunate that they have not only demanded the abolition of 2118 temporary posts of Asstt. Commissioner but also tried to limit our promotions below the post of Asstt. Commissioner by demanding to designate our Superintendent of 5/6 years of service as Senior Superintendent. And very interestingly, they have demanded the abolition of these posts of Asstt. Commissioner in the name of the placements of their younger batches. It is really to be understood what smells behind these “placements”.
Once upon a time, they started a move to unite all Employees Associations to form a combined forum to fight in the common interest of all. This was really a good gesture on the part of “big brothers”. That forum made movements and we all were able to avoid the expected cuts under GST at every level with our all-united and combined efforts. The agenda of the combined forum was really a “good one” in the interest of all constituents. But all of a sudden, their representation on cadre restructuring is really unbelievable and enough to hurt.
We don’t know what the reason is behind it. We don’t know whether it is their unanimous view or they have divisions on the issue. But it is certain that their representation is totally against the interest of lower cadres and particularly us. On this count, they didn’t behave like “big brothers”, rather they don’t deserve to be called as “big brothers”. It could be understood, if they would have demanded even “the most lucrative things” or “Moon” or “Sun” for them. But it is no way understandable to demand the degradation of “younger brothers” by them. Absolutely unfortunate.
Loving regards,
RAVI MALIK,
