Sub: Implementation of the final verdict given by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in SLP (C) No. 30621 of 2011 regarding reservation in promotions.

            Your kind attention is invited to the DOPT OM issued vide F. No. 36012/11/2016- Estt.(Res-I) {Pt-II} Dt. 15.06.18 on the subject-matter regarding interim order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
            2. It is further to submit with due regards that the similar OM is also awaited from the DOPT regarding the final verdict given by the Hon’ble Apex Court. No need to say that the DPCs are already on the hold for the want of the said OM and our officers are forced to retire regularly without promotion.
            3. As far as the Central Board of Indirect Tax & Customs (CBIC) is concerned, the DPC for the promotion to the post of Asstt. Commissioner for the transitional year 2018 and calendar year 2019 are already long awaited. It is worth to mention that the said DPCs should have been conducted latest by August, 17 and August, 18 respectively as per the DOPT OM issued vide No. 22011/4/2013-Estt(D) Dt. 08.05.17.
            4. In view of the above, it is requested to kindly get the said OM issued at an early date treating the matter as “Most Immediate” keeping in view the regular retirements of our officers without promotion.
