AIACEGEO had moved to CAT, PB New Delhi seeking grant of NFU at par with counterparts of CSS and to overcome the stagnation suffered by the Group B officers of CBIC, vide OA No. 3848/2018. However the same was dismissed without considering the grounds taken in the OA vide Order dated 10/10/2018 by CAT. The review also did not meet the desired result. Resultantly the Association went in appeal before Hon'ble Delhi High Court in WPC No 10562/2019. The matter was listed for arguments today on 25/09/2024. The Hon'ble Bench was not at all satisfied with the orders of the learned Tribunal and remanded the matter back to the Tribunal for consideration and disposal on merits.
