27 YEARS OF STRUGGLE OF AIACEGEO.
(All India Association of Central Excise Gazetted Executive Officers was formed in 1987).
AIACEGEO began its journey in April, 1987 from the historic city of Patna. It was a challenging time for us because of framing of Gr-A Recruitment Rules by CBEC arbitrarily depriving the benefits to Central Excise Officers in inducting Gr-A and allowing more benefits to Customs Appraisers. With undaunted spirit we put our heads and hands together for the following common objectives:
* To uphold the dignity of our service ,
*To foster a spirit of cooperation and "espirit de corps" among our members ,
*To promote and safeguard the common interest of our members ,
*To move for the redressal of legitimate grievances of our members concerning,
pay, promotion, career prospects, status, service conditions, retirement benefits etc.
*To work in coordination with similar service associations if necessary ,
*To forward interest of our members without bias of caste, creed and religion .
.
Initially this was a federative body of the associations at the Zonal
level, and was named as "All India Federation of Central Excise
Gazetted Executive Officers". After the promulgation of the
Recognition of Service Association Rules 1993, by the Govt. of India,
the name of our Association has been
changed to "ALLINDIA ASSOCIATION OF CENTRAL EXCISE GAZETTED EXECUTIVE OFFICERS" (AIACEGEO).
The month of September brings a number of colourful festivals in the country. The month marked by the ten-day long magnificent and vibrant celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi - the birth of Lord Ganesha and Onam - the harvest festival of Kerala, gives glimpses of holy spirit of the Indian culture.

This monolithic association of over more than 11,500 members are having the vision to set up a strong Association to protect the interests of members. In the Associate Committee Meeting of our Association held at Patna during 25.05.13 & 26.05.13 it has been interalia decided that “ no unit should approach Board directly on local and all India issues. As per the provisions of our constitution all units are independent up to Chief Commissioner levels only . Board has already clarified that no representation should be submitted by any unit directly and this should be submitted through AIB only. A resolution has already been adopted in our Associate Executive Committee Meeting that for any matter our Units should not approach any authority beyond their respective Chief Commissioner”.
