Sub: Reorganisation of Commissionerates under CBEC.
Sir,
It is submitted with due regards
that the cadre restructuring of CBEC was notified on 18.12.14 but the
notification for reorganisation of the Commissionerates in this regard is yet
to be issued. It is also worth to submit that six
months are nearly to expire after the Cabinet approval of the cadre
restructuring.
2. It is further submitted that our officers are retiring regularly
with merely single promotion in the career in comparison of at least 4 to 5
promotions for other cadres even under CBEC. More than 100 of our officers are
already retiring on monthly basis without promotion. These officers will be
able to get the rare of the rarest IInd promotion at the fag end of the career
on implementation of the cadre restructuring. It is
also worth to mention that our officers have always been collecting the revenue
for the Govt. well ahead of the set targets with complete commitment &
dedication despite of the total demoralization on account of the worst career
prospects being faced by them.
3. In view of the above, it is very
much requested that the reorganisation of CBEC may kindly be approved and cadre restructuring implemented on immediate basis
particularly keeping in view the monthly mass level retirements of our officers
merely with single promotion in the career. The immediate implementation of the
cadre restructuring will give a bit solace to these officers in the form of
IInd promotion at the fag end of the career.
