The
Additional Secretary and Director General,
CGHS, Nirman
Bhawan,
New Delhi.
Sub: Guidelines
regarding credit facilities to serving employees of Ministry of Health &
Family Welfare, CGHS and Dte. General of Health Services.
Sir/Madam,
Kindly refer to the Office
Memorandum on the above subject issued vide File No. Dy. No. 10-03/CGHS(Hq)/Complaint
Cell/2020/448-54 Dt. 22.06.20.
2. It is to submit with due regards
that all private hospitals and diagnostic centres empanelled under CGHS have
been directed to provide treatment/investigations to the serving employees of
MOH&FW, CGHS and Dte. General of Health Services and their family members
covered under CGHS on credit basis on the basis of the advice of CGHS Medical
officer/Govt. Specialist in case of listed treatment procedure/investigations
and with valid permission letter in case of unlisted treatment
procedures/investigations as the case may be.
3. It is further to submit that there
is no mention of other central govt. employees and their family members in the
above referred OM to give them the above mentioned credit facility which is
grossly discriminatory. Such discrimination can’t even be thought to happen in
the greatest democracy of the world. Needless to say that other central govt.
employees and their family members are equally important for the govt. without
any discrimination or exception. No such discrimination has been allowed by our
great Constitution. It is beyond all understandings as to why such facility
should also not be allowed to the other central govt. employees and their
family members.
4. In view of the above, it is
requested to kindly amend the above referred OM to allow the said facility to
all central govt. employees and their family members without any discrimination
and exception.
Thanking you,
Yours
sincerely,
(HARPAL
SINGH),
Secretary
General.
