Sub: Promotion orders issued vide Office Order No. 192/2014 issued vide F. No. 12018/01/2014-AdII dt. 22.10.14 in r/o the DPC conducted on 17.10.14 to 19.10.14 for the post of Asstt. Commissioner.

Kindly refer to the subject-mentioned order.

2. First of all, the heartiest thanks to the CBEC to issue the promotion orders as a fabulous Deepawali gift.

3. Further, it is submitted with due regards as noticed by the Association that 200 posts from the Central Excise quota has been kept un-filled. The names of some of the officers already retired on account of VRS or unfortunately expired have also been mentioned in the list of the promoted officers. The names of many of the officers who are neither facing any charge-sheet nor prosecuted or suspended are also not figured in the list despite of being due for promotion whereas their juniors have been promoted.

4. In view of the above, it is very much requested to kindly look into the matter to issue the promotion orders in r/o the remaining 200 posts. The names of already retired or unfortunately expired officers may also kindly be deleted and the names of the other eligible officers be added.  An early action is very much requested.
