Sub:
Infrastructure and prescribed office space etc. for the staffside.
Sir,
It
is submitted with due regards that no serious steps seem to be taken by the
field formations on subject-mentioned matter despite of the communication made
by the CBEC even before the issuance of the cadre restructuring notification.
There seems no problem for group ‘A’ officers as the required office space has
been provided to them by getting the rooms of the staffside evacuated like last
cadre restructuring. It is also worth to submit that the staffside have not
been provided with the prescribed office space till date after the last cadre
restructuring and the position has become even worse after the current cadre
structuring.
2.
It is also very unfortunate that the due funds meant for the infrastructure
have been surrendered by many of the field formations for the financial year of
2014-15 instead of seriously using to improve the infrastructure. The
infrastructure work should have been progressed under consultation of Staff Associations
for proper utilization but no heed is being paid to consult the Associations on
the issue.
3.
Even more unfortunate is that the Vadodara Zone has been asked by the CBEC to
provide less than the prescribed office space to the Superintendents. No need
to submit that it is the statutory duty of the administration to provide the
prescribed office space to the staffside for smooth and efficient functioning
of the govt. work and nobody can be deprived of it as a matter of pleasure of
any higher authority.
4.
In view of the above, it is requested that the necessary steps may kindly be
taken at the earliest to provide the due infrastructure and prescribed office
space to our officers duly consulting the Staff Associations.
Thanking
you,
Yours
faithfully,
(RAVI MALIK),
Secretary General.
