Distribution of assessees between Centre and States has been started without any formal communication from CBEC and also without finlisation of distribution formula by GST council. In Uttar Pradesh, existing assessees with Centre have been transferred to State leaving only 35% revenue with Centre. Big units like ITC, Samsung etc. have been transferred to State. We don't know what would be transferred to Centre by State and what would be final revenue position with Centre. If revenue position with Centre becomes weak by such transfer, no need to say that it would affect functional justification of manpower under CBEC very adversely. We all have to think seriously what to do regarding it. It'll CERTAINLY affect our career avenues very badly. No need to say that Central Excise Inspectors and Superintendents are already facing the worst career prospects.
