I am getting regular queries about the next DPC for the post of Asstt. Commissioner and also for the fate of 2118 posts of Asstt. Commissioner, whether the same will be continued or not beyond December, 2018. Friends, every effort is being made for convening the DPC. As far as the continence of 2118 posts beyond December, 2118 is concerned, it will also depend on filling-up or non-filling of the existing posts. If posts remain vacant, concerned nodal department/authorities may take the view of not acceding the proposal of extension saying that we are not in the need of the same because of keeping the same vacant. However, the extension of 2118 posts have already got recommended by the Balesh Kumar committee and every effort is being made to get the same not only continued further but also to get created a separate service for us making these posts base for the same.
In view of the above, our Chennai Zone colleagues (who are already having a legal stay on the DPC and have initiated the process of contempt) are very much requested to be cooperative in the matter. Every effort will also be made to watch their interest. We all have to watch the interest of each of our members of every zone (including Chennai) including those who are regularly retiring without promotion (despite of being due for the promotion) for the want of the DPC.
