Sub: Reimbursement of brief case/bag/ladies purse.
Sir,
It is to submit with due regards that the reimbursement
of office brief case/bag/ladies purse is allowed to the officers as per the
DOPT OM D-21013/4/2012-Ad.II Dt. 15.05.12 as also reiterated vide Circular No.
D-15014/3/2016-GAR Dt. 31.08.16 of the Deptt. of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. As
per above OM of DOPT as well as Circular of Deptt. of Revenue, our
Superintendents and Asstt. Commissioners are entitled for the reimbursement of
Rs. 4000/- for the purpose.
2. But very unfortunately, the objections are being
put by the PAO at some places like Vadodara for the want of departmental OM/Circular
for the officers of CBEC/CBIC saying that these officers are not covered under
the DOPT orders. At the most of other places, no objection is being raised by
the PAO. As per the concerned PAO, the benefit can be given to our officers
only after the issuance of the departmental Circular based on the DOPT OM. No
need to say that such Circulars are needed to be issued on each and every
matter as per the version of the concerned PAO as the authority of the nodal
department has been challenged by the said PAO.
3. In view of the above, it is requested to kindly
issue the due directions to the concerned PAO as the said office is also not
ready to follow the clarification issued by the HRD wing off CBEC/CBIC vide
letter F. No. 712/303/HRD/WF-I/2013/7454 Dt. 06.01.17.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
(RAVI MALIK),
Secretary General.
