Sub: Calling for willingness for posting/transfer to Directorates.
Sir,
It is to submit with due regards that the subject matter relates to the posting/transfer to the post of Assistant/Deputy Director in various Directorates viz. DRI, DGGI, DG (Audit), DG (Vig.) etc. under the Central Board of Indirect Tax.
2. As per the current practice, the posting/transfer to the post of Assistant/Deputy Director in various Directorates under CBIC is being made on the basis of the recommendations of the respective Directorate. Due to this practice, many officers are denied the exposure to the Directorates work and only the selective group of officers is getting opportunity for the same. So, a new mechanism is required to be devised by calling the willingness from the interested officers for the purpose of the posting/transfer to various Directorate offices.
3. In view of the above, it is requested that the due willingness may kindly called for Directorate postings instead of recommendation made by the concerned Directorate. This will not only make the process transparent but also provide the opportunity to the willing officers to work in the Directorate offices.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,

(RAVI MALIK),
Secretary General.
