Chairman, CBIC,

Sub: Physical verifications and preventive/antievasion or any other field works.

Sir,

Kindly refer to the letter Ref. No. 59/AIB/P/21 Dt. 20.04.21 of the Association

2. It is to submit with due regards that the containment measures for COVID-19 have already been extended to be taken upto 30.06.21 by MHA vide letter Dt. 27.05.21 observing the number of active cases still very high. We are losing the officers on daily basis in this unprecedented time and there is no end to the sad moments being faced due to regular death tolls.

3. It is reiterated that the officers are still being forced to go to the field for physical verification and preventive/antievasion work despite of the active cases still being very high. The conditions are no way suitable to force the officers to go to field and do physical verification or preventive/antievasion raids. The officers are also not being provided with the due infrastructure to make them safe under this horrible and dreaded situation.

4. A large number of officers and their family members are already corona positive and remaining officers may also become prey of COVID-19, if exposed to field workThe adoption of the liberal approach and issuance of the liberal instructions for physical verifications and preventive/antievasion work or any other field work is the need of time.

5. In view of the above, it is requested that some liberal instructions may kindly be issued for physical verification and preventive/antievasion work or any other field work by extending the time limit as per the circumstances or some online procedure may be prescribed for it.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

(HARPAL SINGH),

Secretary General.
