One of key persons in SLPs filed by govt against Jabalpur High Court order is in regular contact with Association. He apprised that they are very short of funds and can't fight case in Supreme Court, if a worth senior advocate is not hired. They contacted one senior lawyer who demanded Rs. 5 lac per hearing. So, it's certain that they need a good amount to fight the case. He asked how much Association can help in it. We replied that we would try our best.
No need to say that it is a "DO OR DIE" situation. If govt wins, chapter of 6600/- or 7600/- in MACP will be closed for ever.
Jabalpur High Court order has not only decided that 4 years time scale can't be treated as MACP (means 6600/- is confirmed) but also has paved way for 7600/- by saying under para 30 of its Order that 5400/- in PB2 & 5400/- in PB3 can't be treated different Grade Pays for the purpose of MACP.
So, friends, all are requested to contribute for the case. For the purpose, we will have to fix a good amount per individual and also per unit, if we really want to be successful in the matter.
Not only it, one case of Association is pending in Delhi High Court (as govt filed appeal against us) on this issue and one is pending in Delhi CAT for 7600/-. So, we need hefty funds to win legal fight.
Not only it, Association is already fighting many other cases in the interest of cadre but fund position with the Association for the purpose is worst. No need to say that we can collect required hefty funds, if take the things seriously and make the members well aware of the things.

A Delhi group has also assured the original petitioners to arrange at least Rs. 5 lac alongwith boarding, lodging & vehicle whenever the petitioners visit Delhi. Frnds, as informed, it is being propagated somewhere that this case wouldn't benefit the officers of 94-95 & afterwards. So, it is clarified that this case covers all as a common circular of govt. to treat 4 years time scale as MACP upgradation has been quashed by the court.
